ENVIRONMENTAL JUSTICE
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) definition of Environmental Justice (EJ) is:
The fair treatment and meaningful involvement of all individuals in environmental laws and policies, ensuring no group bears a disproportionate share of negative environmental impacts and that communities can actively participate in decisions affecting their health and environment.
Three areas of EJ are as follows:
- Distributive justice
- Procedural justice
- Recognitional justice (to include corrective or restorative justice)

Can you identify what is going on in "in your neck of the woods"?
Becoming more aware of what is sounding in the environment is important, every day.
Tune into your surroundings and learn to read the environment to better discern what's happening locally and regionally, and what's likely been co-occurring nationally and globally. Take note(s). Speak UP.
